Kyō-Jima couldn't continue their good start to life in the FMF, following Sunday's début win over Incontinentia, as they fell to a heavy defeat to World Champions Craitland. The Craits, less than a week from their World Cup opener against Stormark, had lined this friendly up as a means of spurring their players on with the expectation of an easy win, and they didn't disappoint. Kyō-Jima played surprisingly well in the first half and must have been quietly impressed that they only trailed 2-0 at the break, falling behind to two towering headers from powerhouse forward Hanast Pellegrino, but otherwise playing some attractive football. With the introduction of débutant Yaqin Johansen upfront, on for Hanast, and midfielder David Loresen at half-time, however, Craitland were able to exploit the Kyō-Jimans' exhaustion with an injection of pace. The side's third again came from a header, with Marc Mortensen climbing-up at the back post to make it three, before substitute Loresen's jinking run and classy finish adding a fourth. The last two came in close succession in the last few minutes, with Jon-Jan Jónsen's long-range belter and Ben Viĵoa's curling effort for his first international goal sealing the deal on a routine win against a side which has yet a lot to learn. Lydveldt F'ermo replaced Paulio Demhivo in defence near the end of the game to win his first cap aged 31 and see-out a clean sheet.
